The book that every Arsenal fan must have is back with a revised edition packed with a wealth of new features. This updated edition of last year's best-selling The Pocket Book of Arsenal features a brand new cover design and is bursting with the colourful history of London's biggest club. Learn about the Gunners' glorious history, from the very first team back in 1886, to the 1971 Double winners, to the Invincibles of 2003/04. Take a trip down memory lane with classic matches such as the 1970 Fairs Cup victory over Anderlecht or the title-winning trip to Anfield in 1989. Savour the skills of a host of club legends, be it Mercer and McLintock, Bergkamp and Brady, or current heroes Fabregas and Walcott. Packed with original pictures, hand-drawn illustrations and genuine Arsenal memorabilia, this beautifully packaged book salutes the greatest goals (who can forget Ian Wright's solo effort against Everton in 1993?), legendary managers and tactics of the club's most successful teams, as well as the most memorable kits worn over the years - yes, that includes the infamous 1991 'tractor tyre' design. On top of all that, there is also a club directory, a detailed diagram of the Emirates Stadium, honours, records and stats, plus a foreword by club favourite George Graham.

Doesn't really matter if you are an Arsenal fan to enjoy this little book but it's very superficial and in need of a serious continuity editor. I only need it told once that Herbert Chapman invented the WM tactical formation. It's repeated unnecessarily a couple of other times in this book.

The look and layout are tremendous but there are some glaring omissions. Where's Kenny Sansom? Where's David O'Leary? The famous players they concentrated on are fine but I wanted more. The book is only 160 pages and really needs to be expanded to double that.

Some sections do not work in book form. For example, diagramming great goals went out in about 1970. This is the Internet age. How about just making a list and giving us links to the video clips?

Having bought this as a test run before trying the Aston Villa and Celtic Pocket Books I will save you all some money. If you have knowledge of British soccer, you really don't need these books at all. They appeal more to the neophyte and are really more for young kids.
